I have read Shaken and my honest review is what follows.I am sure you have heard of Tebowing and seen photos of the ‘John 3;16’ written in eye black in the NCAA National Championship game in January 2009 to draw attention to this verse of scripture. Tim Tebow is why you are aware of these two phenomena. In Shaken, Tim Tebow’s second book, you will learn interesting facts about these two events he is known for but much more about who Tim Tebow is and what makes him tick. One of the categories this book is listed under is Christian Living and you will learn more about Christian Living from his life experience, much he has never shared before.This is not a biography but does contain biographical glimpses from his young life so far and his perspective or the rest of the story behind these experiences. If you are a Tim Tebow fan from his college days at Florida or one of his professional teams you will want to read this book. It begins describing his gut-wrenching kick in the teeth when he was cut from the New England Patriots and his story weaves back and forth through his career on the field and his off the field activities which will have a much more lasting effect on those involved and you as well after you read and learn more about those.I was not a Tim Tebow fan when he was in college since his Florida Gators were a chief rival of my favorite college team, the Alabama Crimson Tide. In his first book he described his decision choosing between these two schools as the one he would attend and play for. I was glad Alabama did beat Tim Tebow and Florida in the 2009 SEC Championship and go on to win the National Championship that year following Florida doing the same, with Tebow leading the way, in the 2008 season. I did respect him and what he had accomplished and what he stood for as a Christian. I just was not a fan.However, since that time I have become a Tim Tebow fan because of his witness as a Christian. We are brothers in Christ and our paths may never cross in this life but I know they will in the future we will both share in Heaven. That is why I wanted to read this book and am glad I did. Here are some of the highlights and quotes for me from Shaken.Highlights and quotes:“If we can understand everything about the God we serve, what kind of god would that be?”“There will always be people in your life who will underestimate your potential, say that you'll never reach your dream or make that goal, or try to hold you back in some way.”“It might surprise you to know that some of the deepest wounds I've experienced have come from fellow Christians.”“Don't get sidetracked by those who don't believe in you or by those who don't understand what it is you are doing. Whenever you dare to do something different, critics of some sort are bound to show up.”The title of the book is taken from this scripture verse,“I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” Psalm 16:8If you have followed his career you know he has had many opportunities to be shaken. When you read this book you will see he has been shaken but his life is about much more than the public perception as portrayed in the media. As the son of Missionaries , Tim Tebow from a young age has been taught to put others first , appreciate your God-given gifts and to give back. He relates stories of children with terminal illness that he has befriended and visits to Prisons in the Phillipines, Thailand and in Florida. He covers his time with the Denver Broncos, New York Jets and training camps with the Patriots and Eagles. Though he is covered often by the media, you will learn more from this book about the man, his faith and his beliefs. Each chapter is started with an inspirational saying and Chapter 9 quotes Pablo Picasso; " action is the key to all success'. This quote certainly is good advice and applies to the life of Tim Tebow. He is a man deeply rooted in his faith who lives his life in accordance with it. This book is an inspirational, informative read that should be read by anyone experiencing storms in their life or is looking for a great role model. Recommended.

This is by far one of the most relatable books I've ever read. Tim speaks of his ups and downs through his NFL career, and everything he says hits so close to home. This book has made me cry several times, but it's all truth. This book makes you want to go out and encourage others. Such an inspiring book. I've struggled with my relationship with God with all I've dealt with and this book is allowing my faith to grow, allowing me to work on my relationship with God, and it's helping me to see the positive in a negative situation. It's helped to me to fully trust God through everything! I recommend buying this if you're struggling with anything in your life. Definitely will be purchasing for gifts :)

I bought this book to create a quiet book for my little one for Christmas. I was very happy with book i made am happy that I had so much help making it. My daughter is very happy with her little book. My kids 3-8 all love the book.

I love this book! I purchased it to make quiet books for my Grandson and granddaughter. If you are making a quiet book for the first time, I highly recommend this book!

This is the best book because instructions are easy to follow, templates are ready to use ( no thought about cut and layout) is done for you, and subject matter is cute. It will be fun to start this project!

I have been considering making a quiet book but didn't want to have to do a lot of the grunt work, & this book has taken care of a LOT of the things that made it seem like a nearly impossible task. Her suggestions for materials are great - she definitely uses things I wouldn't have thought of. Her ideas are super creative and the CDROM templates are clear and easy to use. GREAT book. Can't wait to try it!!

I got this book thinking I can have some new ideas for a quiet book I'm making. Not only idea but patterns and how tos. Well this book provided none of that. Everything in this book I already found online for free including templates. Trust me when I say this save the money to buy material and use Google for ideas.

I have never considered making a quiet book before but this book has not only inspired me to make one, but has all the information I need to not only simplify the project but actually make it fun!! This book includes clear instructions and patterns for beautiful and unique pages...along with ideas for activities to do with the pages. It also includes printable images to use with some of the pages. If you're considering making a quiet book you can't go wrong with this book!

It looks like something I will definitely use, however, I did not receive a CD as indicated in the listing.

I took a beginning web design class that required this book. After reading the reviews for the book I was worried that the class would be a dud, but I needed the class as a prerequisite to take another class.My class was an online class that relied on the book and the projects contained in it 100%.I really liked the book and the class and the projects. There's a web site where you download the project files to complete the projects in the book. Sometimes the project instructions are a little vague, but it makes you think and really apply what you learn.I would recommend this book for beginners.

The coding they use in the text versus the examples is very different and doesn't always validate on the W3C. So...just make sure you try the other way when it doesn't validate and don't give up! A specific example I can remember is when you are doing the image mapping. On one page it shows spaces in-between the numbers, but that doesn't validate, but in another example it shows them all together without spaces, and that will validate. It was very confusing and frustrating at times! lol

I got this book for a class (it was a required text) and often I feel like things are not thoroughly explained and I end up googling it anyways (and Google is free).

Any beginning web developer should own this book!!! I rented it but will now be buying it, I liked it that much. Easy to navigate structure, incredibly informative, and able to portray complex instructions as elementary concepts for the beginners. This is a great book to use as a reference!

Pretty good book it simplified everything to me and I didn't know any html and it allowed me to create a website for school. What also helped me was looking at html code at w3schools.com and seeing how it worked

I rented this book but I didn't use it at all. It's much faster to google. W3 is a great website.
